Mangalore, May 17: The Vishwa Hindu Parishat and Bajrang Dal are up against the new government. The organizations have said that the Government has already started showing its anti-Hindu attitude.
Addressing a joint press meet on Friday, Bajrang Dal Regional Convener B Manjunath Mandya said that repealing of Anti Cow Slaughter Act and decision to take back the funds given to Maths by the former government are all condemnable.
“These moves are intended to appease the minorities. The government has to strictly implement the Anti Cow Slaughter Act and take steps to close down all the illegal abattoirs in the State. As far as undivided DK district is concerned, Kudroli abattoir is the only authorized slaughter house. But, there are 250 such centres functioning in the districts, which must be stopped immediately,” he said adding that if these centres are not closed down immediately, then the organizations will barge into the illegally run centres and coercively pull down the shutters.
Taking on newly elected MLA Mr J R Lobo for his claim to stop moral policing in the district, Mr Majunath said that it is better if the MLA tackles the reasons for moral policing first rather than making attempts to curb moral policing itself.
Leaders Sharan Pumpwell, Bhujang Kulal among others were present.
