SDPI State Secretary Mohommad Akram Hasan has said that a minister is elected for the welfare of the people and it is the duty of the minister to responsibly handle the charge given to him without any prejudice.
“Mr Jain hails from coastal district and the revenue of the region largely depends on fisheries. His decision to quit the ministry citing pressure from community and religious beliefs as reasons does not stand justified at all. The Chief Minister should not pay heed to this demand,” said Mr Hasan.
Epidemics
Speaking about epidemics like Dengue and Malaria that is lifting its head in the state, he has urged the health department to take pro-active steps to control the same.
Mr Hasan also criticized Health and Family Welfare Minister U T Khader.
Attack
Coming down heavily upon the Congress party workers for storming SDPI office and also demolishing a bus stand constructed by the SDPI in Bantwal, Mr Hasan said that through these acts the Congress has only brought to light its inhuman and anti-people face.
“The SDPI will hold district-wide legal campaign to ensure that such incidents do not occur in future,” he said.
District President Abubakkar Kulai was present.
