The high light this year is the opportunity for winners to travel on an all sponsored trip to the largest facility of Airbus in United Kingdom in addition to the cash price of Rs. 1 lakh. As a part of this tour, winning students will be taken to the world's most modern aircraft wing assembly facilities at the state-of-art Airbus plant in Broughton, North Wales.
Final shortlisted winners will travel to Bangalore and present their entries to a grand jury represented by eminent industry members and academia. Team Flexors from Manipal Institute of Technology will represent the college in final round of QuEST Ingenium on June 14, 2013.
With a record number of applicants this year, Ingenium has gained wide popularity nationally.
The national fest has received an overwhelming response from across India with the highest number of registrations from South Indian states including Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. A total number of 1012 entries have been received from these states.
Next in the line is North Indian States that includes Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh with a total of 145 registrations followed by Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra with total registrations of 110.
