Udupi, Jun 11: Expressing shock over the sudden resignation of senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani, Pejawar Mutt pontiff Visvesha Tirtha Swami said that the veteran leader should not have reacted in such haste

Mr. Advani has resigned from the BJP Parliamentary Board, National Executive and Election Committee, following the elevation of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as Chairman of the BJP National Election Campaign Committee.
The seer said he would not blame Mr. Advani for resigning from the posts. “I have a personal relationship with Mr. Advani. I do not have a political relationship with him. This is an internal problem of the BJP. They should solve it themselves,” he said.
The seer said he was not aware of the confusion or factionalism prevailing in the BJP.
“I will wait and watch the developments in the BJP and then react to it,” he said.
He also said he would be going to New Delhi for the Ganga Abhiyan programme on June 19, where he is likely to meet Mr. Advani and the BJP leader Uma Bharati.
