
Volunteers of some Hindu outfit informed the police about cattle being tied at Millathnagar in Ullal and called upon them to rescue the same. Acting on this, the cops visited the said spot.
Police visit created a sense of tension in the region. Two cattle were found in injured state. The cops had to struggle a great deal to take the cattle from the place because of poor quality roads.
Case has been registered at Ulla police station.
One man held for illegal trading of cattle
Gangolly: Police have arrested one person for illegally transporting cattle to supply to slaughter houses, at G S Hitlu, in Gangolly on Tuesday night. Five cattle stashed in a vehicle have been rescued by the police.
The arrested is Khaja Bawoddin from Jamiya Moholla in Gangolly. Meanwhile, four others who accompanied him have managed to escape.
The cops seized the vehicle used for transporting the cattle costing about Rs 2 lakh and the cost of animals is estimated to be about Rs 6,000. Case has been registered.
