Assistant Sub Inspector Srikala had filed a case of sexual and mental harassment against the ACP in May this year. A nine-member committee was set up by Mangalore City Police Commissioner Manish Kharbikar to probe into the case.
The committee headed by ACP Kavitha on Wednesday submitted its report to the Commissioner giving a clean chit to the accused.
Mr Kharbikar said that the committee dismissed the charges made ASI Srikala.
Home Minister K J George during his Mangalore visit had promised to take action against the accused based on committee's report.
It could also be recalled here that hearing into the case had been postponed twice in the beginning when Srikala had skipped the meeting. However, gradually she had assisted in investigation.
