Chella Pilli cast, crew celebrate successful 25 days of film in Mangalore

Mangalore, Jul 29: The newly-released Kannada movie 'Chella Pilli', directed by Sai Krishna Kudla, starring Vijay Raghavendra and Aishwarya Nag, which was released in theatres across the state on July 5 completed successful 25 days. The milestone was celebrated by the cast and crew of the film in Mangalore on Monday.

The team including the main leads took out a procession on an open jeep from Karavali stadium to Jyothi theatre. Large number of fans from Mangalore accompanied artists in the procession. Excited fans gathered to have glimpses of Vijay Raghavendra and Aishwarya Nag during their visit to Jyothi Theatre.

The team interacted with the fans gathered at Jyothi movie theatre. Meanwhile lead actors interacted with Mangaloreans through a private radio channel. Vijayaraghavendra and Aishwarya Nag were complimented for their acting skills in the movie in the caller interaction session.

Story of the movie revolves around hero who cracks a drug mafia. The situation is set when drug lord hands over drugs to his aide to hand it over to a buyer. They hide the drug in a doll. But the doll goes missing. The story unfurls as the protagonist takes on the drug lord and bursts the mafia.

Mangaluru, Dec 20: City Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy has issued a high-alert warning to vehicle owners regarding a surge in cyber fraud targeting those looking to pay traffic violation fines. Fraudsters are reportedly exploiting recent government discount schemes on traffic penalties to deceive citizens.

The Scam: How Fraudsters Strike

Criminals are using SMS, WhatsApp, and social media to circulate suspicious links and APK files (Android application packages). They claim these apps allow users to pay e-challans at a discount.

• Device Hacking: Downloading these unauthorized apps gives hackers full access to the victim's smartphone.

• Financial Theft: Once the phone is compromised, fraudsters intercept OTPs and personal data to drain bank accounts.

• Phishing Sites: Fake websites mimicking official portals are also being used to harvest banking credentials.

Already, two residents within Mangaluru city limits have reported significant financial losses after falling victim to these fraudulent apps.
