New Delhi, Jun 8: Just days after winning yet another mixed-doubles grand slam title -- French Open -- in Paris, Indian tennis ace Leander Paes on Tuesday addressed media in Delhi.

During the media interaction, Paes, 42, said: “This French Open trophy is very special. And We have shown to the world that we Indians can be world beaters.”

Ageing Paes, who is all set to represent India in Olympics for the record seventh time, seemed a bit emotional while talking about participating in the upcoming Rio Games.

Paes also paid a rich tribute to legendary heavyweight boxer Muhammad Ali, who had recently died due to Septic Shock.

“Muhammad Ali was one of my biggest heroes. Not for the medals and trophies but for the humanity he stood for”
