
City Crime Branch of Mangalore police foiled murder bid on city based builders by arresting two more associates of Ravi Pujari and Kali Yogish
The accused are Sunil Kumar(22), Mallayarbittu House, Kuchchigudde, Shantinagar, Kavoor in Mangalore taluk, and Rohith Kamath(22) of near Vasu Shetty Compound, behind Vandana Hall, Ashoknagar in Mangalore taluk. The duo had managed to escape the police dragnet on that day when CCB sleuths raided their hideout, city police chief R Hithendra said. Police had recovered three pistols, 17 live rounds from Subrahmanya and Kiran.
Sunil was nabbed in the Yeyyadi industrial estate area of the city based on credible information of his presence there. There are two cases of assault registered against Sunil in Urwa police station and both are at the trial stage. Likeiwse, there are two cases registered against Rohit in Urwa PS and he is acquitted in one of them and facing trial in the other. CCB handed over the accused to personnel of Bajpe PS for them to take further action.
With the latest arrest, total number of arrests in this case has gone up to five. CCB sleuths on Saturday last had nabbed Subrahmanya(27) and Kiran(30), associates of the fugitives near Permude Kuntapadavu and Mohammad Hanief alias Ali at Ullal railway station prior to that.
