Malappuram, 29: The motive behind the coldblooded murder of neo-convert Faisal alias Anil Kumar was to prevent the spread of Islam, according to police.

The police have so far arrested eight persons belonging to BJP and RSS in connection with the murder that took place on November 19 at Kodinhi near Tirurangadi in the district.

The arrested include Pullani Vinod (39), brother-in-law of Faisal. The others arrested by Tirurangadi police are Pullani Sajeesh (32), another relative of Faisal, Pulikkal Haridasan (30), Pulikal Dineshan (39), Chanath Suni (39), Kalathil Pradeep (32), Thayyil Lijeesh (27) and Kottayil Jayaprakash (50), who are BJP-RSS workers.

Faisal who was working in Saudi Arabia was converted to Islam nearly eight months ago at Riyad and his family also embraced Islam recently.

Vinod, who is a local BJP leader, is prime accused of the case. Malappuram DSP Pradeep Kumar who supervised the investigation, said that Vinod decided to finish off Faisal to prevent more conversions in the family.

Vinod had sought the help of Haridasan, Shaji, Suneesh and Sajeesh, who are local leaders of a Hindu organization. After the local leaders sought the help of senior leaders in Parappanangadi, a local leader of the organization, Jayaprakash, convened a private meeting of the gang at Meleppuram and conspired to kill Faisal. A senior leader of the party was informed of the decision and the leader appointed a three-member gang to kill Faisal, said police.

Faisal was attacked while he was going to pick up his relatives from Tanur railway station in an auto-rickshaw at Farooq Nagar around 500 metres away from his house, around 5am.

After the incident mother of Faisal had revealed that her son received death threat from his brother-in-law for embracing Islam.

Faisal, who was working as house driver in Riyad, had embraced Islam with the help of his friends there. His wife and three children embraced Islam and completed a religious study class at Ponnani recently.

Narain,
Sorry to say, you are really insane, you need really treatment by doctors or by Atta katta wrestlers.

If you are mentally ok, please come forward to discover a truth of real way to success.
Once you understand and if you are honest to yourself you will not deny the truth. You will know what is ISLAM and why is it REQUIRED

You believe in GOD and believe in DEATH, then try to spare little time to know
why, the GOD created you and why does he give you death.
What does the GOD want from you.

Islam is not the property of only MUSLIMS, it is light for all human beings, specially people like you who are educated but unfortunately BIG STUPIDS and knowingly denying the truth.

Challenge and request : Once you study it well, you will repent why did you not learn it before. You will quickly work to spread the message of true path and success.

I cant say you are unlucky, because you are still alive, you have chance to accept the truth and obey your CREATOR.

You are lucky still if you learn and follow it before ending breath.

We only wish and guide you, but we don't have right to force you.

May God help you my educated..... brother.

The first thing,
we local Muslims should arrange for a guardian for his family, by marrying his widow.

Preferable He should be a bachelor /unmarried, much wise and broad enough to fulfill their basic needs with decent life.

It is a shame on the part of State and Central Govt for not banning RSS terrorist organisation. They are killing innocents in the name of religion. Govt is banning Muslim organisation for no reasons whereas let free sangh parivar terror outfits without any case. Why is this partiality. Has Indian law 2 faces? this is really shame. I urgent Police to encounter the killers of Faisal or hang them in public to teach lesson to others. These terrorists have no right to take life of any human being. They belong to family of bakasura and ravana. Let us teach them good lesson.

It is wrong to tell as conversion. Actually he has returned to his Original ancient Hinduism which is Islam.
Rigveda says
They are ateists and of weak intellect and continually remain sunk in dephths of misery and pain who do not believe in and know and commune with Him who is Resplendent, All Glorious , All Holy. All knowledge, sustainer of the sun and planets...... It is by the knowledge and contemplation of God alone that all men attain true happiness.
Rigveda 1, 164 ,39

I am the God almighty I am the light of the world.. I am the controller of the universe know me alone as the Creator of all....May you never accept another God in my place nor worship him
Rigveda 10:48, 5

He had accepted the truth from Vedas and reverted to the true religion. Islam is not new religion . It is the same True Sanathan Dharma

May Almighty God forgive him and enter him into the eternal paradise

Nobody can stop the spread of Islam. It is said that the \Islam is made to conquer all the religions of the earth\"
I know a person in Mangalore who was a member of RSS, then converted to Christianity for two decade, now he reverted to Islam. When I asked him, what made him to revert. His answer was, \"I WAS SEARCHING FOR THE TRUTH. AND FINALLY FOUND IT. ALHAMDULILLAH."

Mangaluru: Chaos erupted at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) after IndiGo flight 6E 5150, bound for Mumbai, was repeatedly delayed and ultimately cancelled, leaving around 100 passengers stranded overnight. The incident highlights the ongoing country-wide operational disruptions affecting the airline, largely due to the implementation of new Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) norms for crew.

The flight was initially scheduled for 9:25 PM on Tuesday but was first postponed to 11:40 PM, then midnight, before being cancelled around 3:00 AM. Passengers expressed frustration over last-minute communication and the lack of clarity, with elderly and ailing travellers particularly affected. “Though the airline arranged food, there was no proper communication, leaving us confused,” said one family member.

An IndiGo executive at MIA cited the FDTL rules, designed to prevent pilot fatigue by limiting crew working hours, as the cause of the cancellation. While alternative arrangements, including hotel stays, were offered, about 100 passengers chose to remain at the airport, creating tension. A replacement flight was arranged but also faced delays due to the same constraints, finally departing for Mumbai around 1:45 PM on Wednesday. Passengers either flew, requested refunds, or postponed their travel.

The Mangaluru delay is part of a broader crisis for IndiGo. The airline has been forced to make “calibrated schedule adjustments”—a euphemism for widespread cancellations and delays—after stricter FDTL norms came into effect on November 1.

While an IndiGo spokesperson acknowledged unavoidable flight disruptions due to technology issues, operational requirements, and the updated crew rostering rules, the DGCA has intervened, summoning senior airline officials to explain the chaos and outline corrective measures.

The ripple effect has been felt across the country, with major hubs like Bengaluru and Mumbai reporting numerous cancellations. The Mangaluru incident underscores the systemic operational strain currently confronting India’s largest carrier, leaving passengers nationwide grappling with uncertainty and delays.

Mangaluru, Dec 16: The Mangaluru City police have significantly escalated their campaign against drug trafficking, arresting 25 individuals and booking 12 cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act between November 30 and December 13. The crackdown resulted in the seizure of a substantial quantity of illicit substances, including 685.6 grams of MDMA and 1.5 kg of ganja.

The success of this recent drive has been significantly boosted by the city’s innovative, QR code-based anonymous reporting system.

"The anonymous reporting system has received an encouraging response. Several recent arrests were made based on inputs received through this system, helping police tighten the noose around drug peddlers," said the City Police Commissioner.

The latest arrests contribute to a robust year-to-date record, underscoring the police's relentless commitment to combating the drug menace.

Up to December 14 this year, the police have registered a total of 107 cases of drug peddling, leading to the arrest of 219 peddlers. Furthermore, they have booked 562 cases of drug consumption, resulting in the arrest of 671 individuals.

The scale of the seizure for the year reflects the magnitude of the problem being tackled: police have seized 320.6 kg of ganja worth ₹88.7 lakh and 1.4 kg of MDMA valued at ₹1.2 crore. Other significant seizures include hydro-weed ganja worth ₹94.7 lakh and cocaine worth ₹1.9 lakh, among others.

The Commissioner emphasized a policy of rigorous enforcement: "We ensure that peddlers are caught red-handed so that they cannot later dispute the case or claim innocence."

To counter the rising trend of substance abuse among youth, the Mangaluru City police have rolled out uniform guidelines for random drug testing across educational institutions.

As part of the drive, tests were conducted in approximately 100 institutions, screening an estimated 5,500 to 6,000 students in the first phase. 20 students tested positive for drug consumption during the initial screening.

Students who tested positive have been provided counselling and are scheduled for re-testing in the second quarter. The testing will also be expanded to students not covered in the first phase. In a move to ensure strict implementation, police personnel were deployed in mufti in some institutions. Reiterating a zero-tolerance stance, the Commissioner confirmed that random testing will continue, and colleges have also been instructed to conduct drug tests at the time of admission to deter substance abuse from an early stage.
