The activists also barged into the house she was visiting and attempted to assault the persons inside.

On Sunday, after having travelled in bus from Kundapur to Kalladka, the girl is said to have waited at the bus stop for over an hour before she was picked up by a person belonging to the Muslim community.

Noticing this, a group of activists are said to have followed the vehicle to the house she was taken to and attempted to assault the persons inside after barging into the house. A tense atmosphere prevailed during this while until a police team arrived and enquired into the matter.

During enquiry, it was learnt that the girl had come to Kalladka to visit her Muslim friend and her infant. After arriving at Kalladka, it was the friend's husband who had come along to take her to their house.

After confirming this, the girl was sent back by the police to her house in Kundapur. The police said that the activists followed the vehicle suspecting the intention of the Hindu girl going along with a man from the Muslim community.

Bantwal circle inspector K U Belliyappa, crime detection unit ASI Chandrasekharaiah and other personnel conducted the inquiry and assured of legal action in this regard.
