New Delhi, Nov 4: Indefinite hunger strike by Sant Gopal Das--a disciple of late Prof G D Agrawal (Swami Gyan Swaroop Sanand)-, for clean and richly flow in entire course of the Ganga continued in Haridwar on the 134th day on Sunday.
The young saint-on fast since June 24, in support of the Ganga crusade launched by late IIT professor turned saint-, was yet again on Saturday shifted from AIIMS Rishikesh to Jolleygrant Hospital in Haridwar reportedly in view of the President's visit.
Another young disciple of the Matrisadan ashram, Kankhal, Brahmachari Atmabodhanand Saraswati has also been observing hunger fast since October 24 expressing solidarity with Sant Gopal Das and the ongoing stir, ashram's spokesman Brahmachari Dayanand told UNI over telephone.
The Brahmachari also expressed dissatisfaction over the attitude and approach being adopted by officials in frequent and needless shiftings of the fasting saint from one to other hospital.
This time they have shifted him from Rishikesh to Haridwar reportedly in view of the President's visit on Saturday, he said quoting some cops.
He said "Santji has refused to take treatment, we even don't know whether they(authorities) are giving him any treatment except forced feeding that too in a whimsical manner, as and when they wish to."
Meanwhile, a Ganga Sadbhawana Yatra is also being carried out that is scheduled to reach Varanasi on November 25.
