Mangaluru, Apr 21: Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday formally inaugurated the exit road of Mangaluru International Airport at Kenjar on the outskirts of the city.
Mr Siddramaiah is on a day long Dakshina Kannada tour to launch a series of development works.
The exit road of the airport was constructed by Karnataka Road Development Corporation Ltd. In the 1,125-metre long road, 740 metres was concretised while the rest of the road was tarred.
Started in 2012, the work on the exit road has missed many deadlines. As the air traffic has increased considerably over the years through the airport, movement of vehicles to and from the airport too has increased tremendously.
