Mangaluru, Dec 17: The aggrieved family members of the slain RTI activist Vinayak Baliga on Saturday visited the murder accused Naresh Shenoy alias NaMo Naresh to personally serve the dasti notice of the Supreme Court on him.

The victim's father Ramachandra Baliga (85), accompanied by his two daughters, handed over the notice to the accused No 1 in the murder case as to why his bail should not be cancelled.
They had to recourse to this as the due procedure of the court to serve the notice could take months and the hearing in this emergent matter is scheduled for 30 days after the receipt of the notice by the opposite party, sources said.
Speaking to media persons on the occasion, Anuradha Baliga, sister of the Vinayak Baliga, said that her family facing death threat from NaMo Naresh.
NaMo Naresh had gone absconding after Vinayak Baliga was hacked to death near his house at Kodialbail, in Mangaluru, on March 21, this year. He was arrested in June this year but released in September after Karnataka High Court granted him bail.
Vinayak Baliga, an electrical contractor by profession, was also an RTI activist and he had unearthed many controversial information related to electricity theft and unauthorised constructions in Mangaluru city apart from rising the issue of irregularities in the temple.
It was alleged that some of the other accused, who were arrested earlier, were allegedly hired to kill Baliga and that one of the accused was in touch with NaMo Naresh.
