Vijayapura, Jul 17: Babaleshwar MLA M B Patil said on Monday that there was no question of giving up the agitation for a separate religion tag for Lingayats.
The future course of the agitation would be charted out once former IAS officer S M Jamdar returns from foreign tour, at a meeting to be attended, among others, by Council pro tem chairperson Basavaraj Horatti.
The former minister refuted claims by JD(S) national president H D Deve Gowda on the contributions of Lingayat chief ministers to the development of north Karnataka.
