Mangaluru, Sep 19: Stating that it is too early to draw conclusions about Yettinahole Integrated Drinking Water Project, Health and Family Welfare Minister UT Khader said that success of the project is in God’s hands!

Addressing media persons in the city on Saturday the minister reiterated the incumbent Karnataka government’s commitment to provide water to the places hit by water shortage (by diverting Yettinahole, a tributary of Netravati river) at any cost.
Holding law minister DV Sadananda Gowda, who was then the chief minister of Karnataka, fully responsible for the initiation of the Yettinahole project without taking the people of Dakshina Kannada into confidence, Mr Khader said that as the head of the state he should have held a detailed discussions with experts and people of this region before finalising such a sensitive project.
Recalling that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Yettinahole project was prepared when JD(s) leader HD Kumaraswamy was the chief minister of Karnataka, and the project received formal approval when Sadananda Gowda was the chief minister, he said that it is responsibility of the incumbent Congress government to take forward the projects initiated by the previous government.
