Bengaluru, Jun 30: The Supreme Court has once again granted permission to PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani to visit his ailing mother at his house in Kerala.
Madani has been lodged in a Bengaluru jail in connection with a Bengaluru serial bomb blast case. The duration of his stay in Kerala will be decided by the trial court.
Madani had submitted a petition in the apex court, seeking permission to meet his mother. The court, meanwhile, asked him to handover the details of his mother's illness and doctor's report to the trail court.
The court also set aside provision which required Madani to appear before the trial court every day during the trial period. It also ordered the trial court to complete the trial within one year.
Karnataka police will be in-charge of Madani's security during his stay in Kerala.
The advocate who appeared for Madani had urged the court to allow him to visit his ailing mother once in two months and also to exempt him from daily appearance in the trial court due to poor health.
The Supreme Court allowed Madani to visit his home for five days during May last year.
