Chamarajanagara, Dec 19: In a major breakthrough police have solved the food poisoning in Kiccha Gutti Temple a temple by arresting four people including younger swamy of Slur Mutt which was running the temple.
In all 15 people died and more than 80 people took ill after eating the poison mixed prasadam distributed after rituals performed and foundation laying for construction of Gopuram was completed on December 14.
Addressing a press conference here, IGP (Southern Range) Sharat Chandra said that the case was solved within six days.
Main accused 52 year-old Emaddi Mahadeva Swamy, 35 year-old Ambika her husband Mahaesha, Temple Manager Doddaiah Thumbe were arrested and FIR was filed in Ramapura Police Station and they will be produced before the Judge at Kollegal soon.
He said that during the integration the accused have confessed to the crime.
