Udupi, Jul 22: Rubbishing the media reports of arrest of the suspects in connection with the death of Shiroor Mutt seer Lakshmivara Teertha Swami as mere rumours, Udupi Superintendent of Police Lakshman Nimbargi has said that the cops were investigating the case from all angles.

Teams led by DySP Belliappa and Brahmavar Circle Inspector Srikanth, had been constituted to probe the case, he said.
Media reports yesterday had claimed that a female servant of the departed seer has been arrested.
Replying to a question, the SP said: “The police have only restricted the entry of the public to Shiroor Mutt. The police have not interfered in the daily activities, including pooja rituals, in the mutt.”
Nimbargi said that it would take some time for the post-mortem report to be available, while it would take about six weeks for the FSL report to be available.
