Bengaluru, Nov 3: The Banashankari police have arrested an agriculturist from Hunsur and an insurance agent from Bengaluru on the charge of posting abusive messages on the Facebook page of the daughter of a city-based singer.

The daughter filed a complaint with the Banashankari police stating that she was not only getting threat calls but was also getting abusive messages on Facebook.
Based on the complaint, the police tracked down two persons — Sanath Palappadi, a 50-year-old agriculturist from Hunsur, and Santosh (29), an insurance agent from Bengaluru. Both of them is said to be devotees of Raghaveshwara Bharati swami.
The duo has been booked for criminal intimidation and under Section 66 (A) of the IT Act (sending offensive messages through communication service), Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Lokesh Kumar said.
He added that the duo confessed they were followers of the seer and had vented their ire against the family with their posts.
