Kasaragod, Jul 25: The Karnataka police have arrested two youths from Bengaluru on the charge of abducting a Kerala businessman.
The arrested are Tahir Husain, 28 and Abdul Kareem, 24, both residents of Yelahanka, Bengaluru.
The duo, along with their accomplices had abducted Abubaker Siddiqui, a businessman, who was on his way to his native in Kerala, on July 13.
Siddiqui, Basheer, Mohammed and Abdul Rafeeq were returning from Dubai.
They arrived at Bengaluru by flight and were proceeding to Kerala via Mysuru in their friend Ibrahim's car, when the gang attacked and threatened them with lethal weapons.
They forced others to alight from the car and abducted Siddiqui. When they could not find any cash or gold with Siddiqui, they had dumped him 20 kilometers away from the kidnap point and sped away, the police said.
