Bengaluru, Jun 23: The Sessions Court on Saturday granted conditional bail to five men — who along with Mohammed Nalapad Haris son of N.A. Haris, MLA, — are accused in UB City brawl case.
The accused Arun Babu, Mohamed Ashraf, Manjunath, Balakrishna and Mohamed Nasir were directed by the court to cooperate with investigations and not tamper with evidence.
Another accused, identified as Krishna, is still at large and has applied for anticipatory bail. This will come up for hearing before the Sessions Court on June 25.
Nalapad and his aides had brutally assaulted Vidwat, a fellow patron, following an argument at Farzi Cafe in UB City on February 17 this year. Vidwat had to be taken to the nearby Mallya Hospital for treatment. Later, Nalapad and his friends visited the hospital and threatened the victim and his friends against filing a police complaint.
The main accused in the case, Nalapad, had secured conditional bail in the case earlier this month.
