Udupi, Jul 15: Two persons were killed and two others suffered injuries in a deadly collision between a car and a passenger vehicle near Santhekatte in Udupi district.
The car was moving from Santhekatte to Brahmavar on NH 66, while the passenger vehicle was proceeding to Nejar from Ugelbettu.
According to the police, the car driver lost control over his vehicle which crossed the divider and collided with the vehicle.
As a result of the collision, Shravan, the car driver, and Sundar Shettigar, the driver of the passenger vehicle, died.
Ganesh and Shivaraj, occupants of the passenger vehicle, were injured. They have been shifted to a private hospital for treatment.
A case has been registered and investigations are on.
