UK visa application processing camp in Mangaluru on May 20

Mangaluru, May 10: Claiming that its first UK visa camp held on May 2 in Mangaluru was a great success, the Globe travels have now set the second camp at their office at Souza Arcade, Balmatta, Road, in the city on May 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

VFS Global Services Pvt. Ltd., authorized representative of U.K. Consulate will visit Mangaluru for the second time to receive the U.K. visa applications and to obtain the Bio Metric of all applicants intending to visit United Kingdom on holidays/family visit.

General Public who are interested to obtain the visit visa to United Kingdom are requested to contact Globe travels through their travel agents or directly before May 11, 2016 to avail this facility at Mangalore to avoid their travel to Bangalore to file their visit visa application and to give their Bio Metric at VFS center.

Publics who have filed their visa applications online and obtained the appointment at Bangalore can change their appointment to Mangalore center to avoid their travel to Bangalore.

Globe travels is also planning to hold such visa camps to other Schengen countries and U.S.A. in near future if the consulates of these countries approve the camps at Mangalore to provide seamless service to the general public without any additional service charges.

Mangaluru police have arrested a 27-year-old NRI on his return from Saudi Arabia in connection with an Instagram post allegedly containing derogatory and provocative remarks about the Hindu religion, officials said on Monday.

The accused, Abdul Khader Nehad, a resident of Ulaibettu in Mangaluru, was working in Saudi Arabia when the post was uploaded, police said.

A suo motu case was registered at the Bajpe police station on October 11 after an allegedly offensive post circulated from the Instagram account ‘team_sdpi_2025’. Police said the content was flagged for being provocative and derogatory in nature.

During the investigation, technical analysis traced the Instagram post to Nehad, who was residing abroad at the time, a senior police officer said. Based on these findings, a Look Out Circular (LOC) was issued against him.

On December 14, Nehad arrived from Saudi Arabia at Calicut International Airport in Kerala, where he was taken into custody on arrival. Police said further investigation is underway.
