Mangaluru, Feb 19: As part of the 15th anniversary celebrations of ‘Anupama’ women’s monthly magazine, a special edition will be released at Legislators’ Home in Bengaluru on Saturday.
Announcing this at a press meet here on Thursday, Shahnaz M, the chief editor of the Mangaluru based Kannada magazine said that the special edition would be released by Women and Child Welfare Minister Umashree.
the magazine reception committee will organise a book release of the special edition of the magazine at MLA Bhavan in Bengaluru on Saturday, said chief editor of the magazine.
Senior litterateur and former minister B T Lalitha Nayak, Karnataka state women’s commission chairperson Manjula Manasa and assistant editor of Prajavani daily at Bengaluru desk Dr Poornima will be the chief guests on the occasion. National co-convenor of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind women’s wing Amatur Razzaq will preside over the programme, she said. The programme will be held at 11 a.m.
She said that a readers’ convention would be organised at Shanthi Nilaya, Balmatta in Mangaluru on Tuesday, along with the release of the special edition of the magazine. Senior writer Vaidehi, senior advocate Asha Nayak, Bethany Convent co-ordinator Sr Michele, Atoor Ayesha college principal Ayesha Farzana will be the chief guests at the programme, she said.
The programme in Mangaluru will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday and presided by Shahnaz M.
Honorary president of the reception committee K A Rohini, president Shameera Jahan, Khurshida and Sajida Moomin were present at the press meet.
