Mangaluru, Aug 10: Women constables in Karnataka may soon get to sport new uniforms. In place of khaki saris, they may have to wear shirts and trousers.

Speaking to media persons here today, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister G Parameshwara said that Police department is thinking of making women constables wear trousers and shirts instead of saris.
It is because many women constables have expressed difficulty in doing duty by wearing saris, he said.
