Chennai, Jan 4: Actor turned Politician and Makkal Needhi Miyam (MNM)President Kamal Hasan said "though Prime minister Narendra Modi has invited us for an alliance with BJP, it is for us to decide on it".
It may be recalled that a couple of days ago in an interview to a news agency, Modi said that his party welcomes both Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan if they are willing to join their alliance.
Talking to newsmen at airport here on after returning from Dubai late Thursday night, Kamal, said to a question that, 'We will be holding a series of meetings in the next few days to take a call on contesting Tiruvarur by-poll.
After consulting senior members of the party, we would decide on fielding a candidate for the by-election'. Asked if there is any motive behind the Election Commission announcing by-election only for Tiruvarur, Kamal said, though it has been announced only for Tiruvarur, "we should be happy at least now they have announced it".
