Mangalore, September 30: Workers of Dakshina Kannada district unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party celebrated their party's win in the Koppal Assembly by-polls.
As soon as the election results were announce on Thursday dozens of party works gathered outside the party office at Kodiyalbail in the city, burst crackers and distributed sweets.
The party continued to keep a clean slate in by-polls held in Karnataka after BJP government came to power in 2008.
Thursday's results also marks the maiden win in a by-poll after D V Sadananda Gowda, Udupi-Chikmagalur MP took over reigns of the state as the CM.
