Girl dies after consuming anganwadi food

Karkala, February 23: In a tragic incident, a six-year old girl from Bola village died after having food at an anganwadi centre at Kedinje village in Karkala rural police station limits on Wednesday.

Police sources said that Prithvi (6), daughter of Sunanda of Majalukodi in Bola village, fell ill after having food at the anganwadi centre around 10.30 a.m.

She was rushed to Pratibha Hospital in Karkala, where the doctors pronounced her dead. A case of unnatural death has been registered.
