Serial thieves strike again; five shops, one clinic burgled

Mangalore, December 9: In a fresh case of serial theft, as many as five shops and a veterinary medical clinic were looted in a single night. With this the spate of thefts rocking the region continued leaving the residents of city in shock and fear.

In the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, the thieves targeted Freeze Zone, an AC sales and services, Indane Gas Distributers, Laxmi General Store, Megha Fashions a laundry shop and a Garodi Juice Centre. They also targeted a veterinary medical clinic. All these shops are located at Netravati Layout in Kankanady and Garodi.

The burglars have allegedly decamped with cash and valuables worth several lakh rupees, as owners of all the six shops have claimed huge loss.

The serial theft came to light early on Friday morning when an auto-rickshaw driver noticed broken shutters of a shop and informed localites. More details are aviated.
