Millath Education Trust celebrates annual day

Udupi, December 31: Education is no more confined to the four walls of a classroom, and should not be confined to increasing the memorizing abilities of the children through reading and writing. It should help to bring out the talent and the creativity of the child, said Lalaji. R. Mendon, MLA of Kapu.

He was the chief guest at the annual day function of the Millath Education Trust Public School, Udyavara, Udupi recently.

He underlined the need to evolve an education system which will help in leading a peaceful and harmonious life. He lauded the efforts put by trustees of Millath Education Trust, under the leadership of Abdul Jaleel, Udyavara for establishing a full pledged High school.

Manjunathayya, Executive officer, Udupi Taluk Panchayat, urged teachers to give more emphasis on incorporating moral values in our education system. Children should also be taught lessons on love and cooperation, he said.

Janab T S Budan Basha, Chairman Udupi district Wakf advisory board, Kalimulla Tonse and Abdullah Parkala, trustees of Millath Education Trust were present.

Khaleel Ahmed, Administrator of the school welcomed the gathering, Shameem Banu, Headmistress of the school presented the annual report of the school. Nafeesathul Misriya compered the program. Reena D'Souza proposed vote of thanks. A number of cultural programmes were performed by the students.
