Mangalore, January 8: Four little children from a single family drowned in the Netravati River in Belthangady after they stepped into the water for swimming on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased have been identified as Shamsheer (9), Hafeez (12), Nasir (14) and Javed (14).
It is said that the children drowned while trying to save each other. All four bodies have been recovered, officials said. More details to follow.
