Mangalore, March 5: Physically-challenged persons from across the district on Monday staged a protest in front of deputy commissioner's office here demanding the state government rectify the irregularities in the distribution of pension to physically-challenged persons.
The protest was led by Dakshina Kannada District Handicapped Association and Dakshina Kannada District Handicapped Federation
Association's district president Dinesh Shetty said that the government had not disbursed pension to thousands of physically-challenged persons in the state for the past one year.
