Mangalore, Jun 15: Tulu entertainment film 'Bangarda Kural' has successfully completed its 50 days of screening.
The movie team led by director Ram Shetty celebrated this success on Friday in a simple prorgramme at Jyothi Cinema in the city.
Shri Niranjan Swamiji of Sunkadakatte inaugurated the programme in the presence of former minister Amarnath Shetty.
Thanking the Tulu movie lovers for the success of 'Bangarda Kural' Ram Shetty, who is also the script writer of the movie, said that non-resident Indians too can enjoy this vigour of Tulu Nadu as the movie will be screened in the Arabian gulf cities of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Muscat soon. “In future the movie will be screened in European nations too”, he added.
He said that Tulu people settled in Indian cities of Mumbai, Nasik, Pune and Bangalore too were eager to watch this movie in their places.
Amarnath Shetty opined that Tulu movies would help preserving and promoting Tulu language and culture in the modern age. In this regard the efforts of Ram Shetty is commendable, he said.
Producer Adyar Madhava Naik, Tulu theater personality Vijay Kumar Kodialbail and journalist P B Harish Rai were present on the occasion along with artistes.
This is the 42nd Tulu movie and third by veteran stunt master Ram Shetty, who has directed Daareda Seere and Badkere Budle in the past.
