Hassan, Oct 17: Karnataka Minister for Excise and in-charge minister of Hassan district on Monday held the National Highway Authorities of India (NHAI) responsible for the national highway road accident which killed nine persons, including four children.

Popular TV actress Vaishali Takkar is no more. She died by suicide at her home in Indore. Vaishali was found hanging in her home, after which, a case was registered in Tejaji Nagar police station. A suicide note was also recovered from the spot. Vaishali was living in Indore since the last year.

Hassan, Oct 16: Nine people died on the spot while 12 others were injured in a in a pile-up involving three vehicles - a KSRTC bus, a tempo traveler, and a milk tanker - in Hassan district in the early hours of Sunday.
